The Cob House

If you’re a nature-loving, eco-conscious family or group of friends, the Cob House is a charming environmentally-friendly accommodation option built from stone and earth using sustainable building methods. This private cottage seems to rise from the earth from which it was built and blends into its beautiful surroundings with the silence broken only by the sound of birdsong and the river nearby. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms (one en-suite and one separate) can expand for a bigger group with the two full sized single mattresses on a built-in sleeper couch around the large fireplace in the lounge - perfect to sleep an extra 2 children or adults. Cob House is delightfully electricity-free but has a gas fridge and stove as well as solar lights in all the rooms. Spend your nights under the stars at the firepit and braai area outside or bask on the veranda on sunny days. Conveniently close to the Mina’s Wedding venue and Zwakala Brewery which are on the same property, the Cob House also feels a million miles away from the world.
